Kenedi Payton '24 Recruiting Profile

I would love to cheer in college for a football team. I enjoy experiencing the atmosphere of football games with the crowd cheering loudly. I love the adrenaline rush I get when my team is playing on the field. I love performing in front of people with the sport I enjoy most. I’m a good candidate for the team because I am a hard worker and I strive to do my best with all of my skills. I’m a leader, and, I am always determined to succeed. I have been cheering for almost four (4) years. I was a gymnast for nine (9) years before I started cheering. Being a gymnast has made me a competitor. I love to compete and win! 

I am a good role model to my peers. Last school year, I took college classes, held a part-time job, and cheered competitively for High School and All-Star Competition cheer. I am an All-State Cheer Leader. Last month, I cheered for an All-State Basketball game and an All-State Football game. I am a two-time State Cheerleading champion. I have also been to Summit to compete 3 times. Last year, our team finished 2nd in our division due to one of our flyers being removed from our team the day before we competed. It was extremely challenging and nerve-wracking the last few days of the competition, however, I pushed through for my team. It was emotional as the world was counting on our downfall. We finished solid. We hit. It was amazing. We truly deserved 1st after the last few days we had to endure just before we competed on the mat. I believe I differ from the other candidates because I have a true passion for the sport! I know what it takes to be a team player and strive for the absolute best! I look forward to speaking with you about my college athletic career.
