Hi, my name is Shannon Poole, and I have been cheering for 13 years. I started cheering for a pop warner organization called Lenape Valley. I stayed there until I aged out, and I am currently part of an all-Star team and my high school team. I have been a back spot on the varsity for all four years. I will make a great candidate for your college cheer team because I am a very hard worker and the most committed athlete you will meet. I have rarely missed a practice. I have learned throughout my senior season that you need the whole team to make it work. Throughout my senior season, there have been five girls out due to injuries, and others had to miss the competitions due to sickness or other events. From this experience, I have learned that it is crucial to be at every practice and competition. Since I am a senior this year, I am considered one of the captains on both of my teams. So whenever the coaches need something, they ask me, or if I see they need help, I will. This shows that I can take charge and do what is necessary without being asked. Along with going to four practices a week, I also participate in tumbling classes four nights a week for at least two hours a night. In these classes, I learn how to improve my tumbling and work hard to achieve my goals.
