Personal Statement

Some of the most challenging moments of my life have occured on a field hockey field. Field hockey has taught me how to persevere through utter disappointment, and 90 degree heat. Although it's easy to remember being victorious on the field, it's even easier to remember fighting through tears and physical pain. But this is what comes with playing a sport like field hockey, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I can't imagine myself not playing field hockey. The joy I get from playing is unmatched compared to the other sports I play.  The emotion and intensity is one of my favorite aspects of the game, as well as the people I've met over the years. Field hockey is a huge part of my life, but an equally as big part is my education. I take school very seriously. I strive to succeed and always go for the highest grade possible, and I revise when I don’t get the grade I want. The college I want to go to is a college where I know I will be able to succeed.  I’m still undecided on my major for now, but I’ve narrowed it down to some options. I have been working hard to improve my game, and I think it’s paid off. I can’t wait to keep working for the rest of my high school career into my college career.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
