Personal Statement

My name is Katelyn Fairhurst! I am super excited about the next steps in my academic and field hockey career.  I am  a leader on the field and my positivity is contagious.  I often am told I have a great vision on the field and I am a great communicator! 

I have overcome many obstacles in my life and am hearing impaired.  This isn’t something that I let get in may way.  I have learned how to overcome the challenges that come with my hearing loss and it has shaped me into who I am today! My hope is to pursue a medical career!
