Kelsey Kokosa '16 Recruiting Profile

My dream of becoming a D1 field hockey goalie, is not so much a dream, but more a goal that I will soon accomplish. I know that with my skill, determination, focus, and drive, I will be able to obtain whatever I put my mind to. I have passion for the game of field hockey and that fuels me to push myself harder every single day. With this love it allows me to motivate my teamates and help them in any way I can, on and off the field. I am outgoing and friendly and this allows me to speak to my teamates during games and practices and tell them what I need from them, and in return they are able to be open with me and tell me what they need from me. This allows the whole team to play better as a whole and allow for optimal communication. Off the field I work very hard in school to maintain my 3.6 G.P.A. and I try to push myself to my academic limits. Which includes taking mostly honors classes and a couple AP classes. With my schedule there is no time to waste, so time management is key. But I somehow find the time to have 50+ volunteer hours throughout my high school career. I love helping people and making people laugh. I am also a people person (if you couldn't tell already) and try hard to make as many people happy as I can. I am adventerous and love to try new things and be outdoors. Every day is a new opportunity to experience life in a new way so I believe everyone should take that opportunity and run with it.
