It was love at first sight when I first attended an open house for field hockey during the summer before 8th grade. This passion became my anchor when I moved to St. Louis from Seattle that same summer. Field hockey was the constant in a sea of change, and I pursued it with unwavering dedication, joining Gateway Field Hockey and participating in as many tournaments as possible.
My passion for field hockey is matched only by my dedication to academic excellence. I take my studies seriously and strive for the highest grades. My academic record speaks for itself, with a consistent string of straight-A's and a commitment to challenging myself with honors and AP classes.
Life is about balance, and I strive to maintain that balance. When field hockey season allows, I indulge in my other passions like running and ultimate frisbee, ensuring I stay fit and healthy. Even when I'm not on the field, I stay connected to field hockey by volunteering on Sundays to coach elementary kids through my club.
My goal is to continue my passion for this sport through college. I want to play at the highest level possible while I study for my dream job as a Primary care sports medicine physician. I want to be able to help others with the same dedication and fascination I have with field hockey with my patients’ choices of sports, and I think being able to take field hockey with me for as long as possible will help me achieve my dream.
