Halsey Buck '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Halsey Buck. I am in the high school graduating class of 2024. I have been playing field hockey for 5 years. I started playing in my backyard with my parents before the start of sixth grade, my mom had played college field hockey and always wanted me to try it out and I fell in love with the game immediately. Field hockey has always been very important to me and some of my favorite memories have come from playing this amazing sport. I would really love to further my academic and athletic career in college. I bring many great qualities to any team I play for, coachability, leadership, and dedication. I have been nominated as one of my varsity high school team captains for next year. I made varsity as a freshman but due to COVID-19 our team made the decision to not play against schools in our area. I have participated in field hockey summer camps, indoor field hockey programs with Ahyodha Kishna, and I participated in USA field hockey futures. I work hard not only on the field but in school too. I work hard in all of my classes and I push myself to try new things and to take on new challenges.
