Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Ainsley Stricklen and I am a current 9th grader at St. Andrews Epispicol school in Austin, Texas. I am part of the class of 2029 and I play forward. My dream has always been to play field hockey in college. I picked up field hockey when I was about 9 years old and have been playing ever since. My love for the sport soon grew into something I would want to continue playing throughout my life. Field hockey has allowed me to make some of my closest friends and favorite memories. Many of my coaches say that I am very coachable and from time to time say that I am a natural born leader. I lead my team without even knowing. I am not only good on the field but in the classroom as well. I finished the fall semester with all A’s. Field hockey has become a passion of mine and my team has become like a family to me. We win together and we lose together but we are all family and that is why I love field hockey.
