I have always been a student athlete. From my extensive careers as a competitive gymnast, a soccer goalie, and a field hockey goalie and my brief pursuits as a dancer, and a lacrosse goalie there have always been two definites in my life: school and sports. Being a lifelong student athlete has not only allowed me to comprehend the value and importance of commitment, integrity, and communication but it has also allowed me to incorporate the virtues of teamwork, determination and self advocation into my day to day life.
While I enjoy winning, I enjoy challenges that push me and my teammates to succeed and reach our goals. This past year I had the pleasure to watch as the St. Agnes varsity field hockey team grew stronger and improved greatly with every practice and game as we made our way to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools finals. With the final score of 0-1 our team came in second place as runner up. It was there I learned that even though you may not always win it is the amount of hard work, dedication, and fun had by all is that will stay with you as a constant reminder of your accomplishments. I look forward to enjoying another year filled with perseverance and pride with the St. Agnes Varsity team as well as my Texas Pride club team in the upcoming seasons.
I hope this was able to give you a little taste as to whom I am as both a student and an athlete. I look forward to continue to work hard and strive to be the best goal keeper that I can be.
