Playing college football has always been a dream of mine. I moved to Arkansas from Oregon when I was in the third grade. I started playing youth contact football at that time, and have absolutely loved the game.
The past two years, I have played for Bethel Middle School as a 7th. grader and this past year as an 8th. grader. Our 8th grade team was undefeated this past fall, the first time in the school's history. I was lucky enough to be a starting Defensive Tackle, but I was used at many line positions throughout the season. As a 7th grader, I was the starting Offensive Center. I was also used as a pulling guard and as a defensive end.
I love the game, and love being part of the team. I always try to encourage my teammates, and try to be the first one there to congratulate them or encourage them. I play hard, and expect my teammates to do likewise. I have had coaches tell my folks in the past that I play with a lot of heart.
Academically, I am a "B" student, but that's without really trying. Now that I am starting to look at college and hopefully playing college football, I realize that I need to put more effort into my studies. My goal entering my freshman year of high school, is to try to maintain at least a 3.6 GPA.
