Personal Statement

I am a competitive person who loves to win. I enjoy the fast paced world of being a student athlete and my competitive nature keeps me focused on succeeding both in the classroom and on the field.  I just finished playing baseball last year after seven years to focus on playing football. I love the game, the competitiveness, winning the one on one battles and team comradery. When you play as a team you win as a team.  My focus is to put the hard work in to get bigger, stronger and faster as well as to make the grades needed to earn that opportunity to play in college and get my degree. My ultimate goal is to play in the NFL.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Rivals Combine Series
  • 3/09/24 to 3/09/24
  • I was happy with my overall results with my combine drills. I improved in three categories but slipped a little in others. I was disappointed that Rivals pulled the 1 vs 1 competition and position drill two days before the event. I was looking forward to competing at this particular event since Rivals is a star rating event.
  • Camp/Event
  • NP Norcal Showcase
  • 2/17/24 to 2/17/24
  • The showcase went well. I did well in my combine events as well as my 1 vs 1 competition which which my reps can be viewed on the 5 on 5 competition video that is posted on my profile.
  • Camp/Event
  • Dream All American Bowl Game/Showcase
  • 12/26/23 to 12/29/23
  • The Dream All American Bowl week and game was an awesome experience. It was an opportunity to compete on a national level with athletes who are at the top of their game. The competition was at a high level and I stepped up to the challenge. First, the combine went really well. I weighed in at 292lbs. My 40 time dropped from 5.3 to 5.06. My 5-10-5 dropped from a 4.9 to 4.72. During the trench wars I took reps at both right and left tackle. I won 17 out of 17 battles which was awesome. The best part of the week was being awarded one of six "Leadership Awards" which was based on my performance at practice and during the combine. I was also pick as one of three Captains for TEAM DREAM for the Dream All American Bowl game. I was honored to receive the Leadership Award and the Captain position because both were voted on by the coaching staff and Dream All American Committee. I started and played the whole game at Left Offensive Tackle. I also got some reps at Defensive End. TEAM DREAM ended up winning the Dream All American Bowl 28-19. It was great week.
  • Camp/Event
  • NEXTGEN "The Show"
  • 7/01/23 to 7/02/23
  • On Day 1 A.M. we worked on run blocking skills. We worked through a drill circuit where we worked on first steps and initial contact power, double team blocking, second level blocking and pulling footwork. We ended the morning session with 1 on 1 for run blocking. I went three out of three for my reps. Day 1 P.M. we worked on pass blocking. We went through a similar drill circuit for pass blocking that worked on initial punch, lateral footwork, picking up multiple rushers, hand position and spin moves. We finished with 1 on 1 for pass. I finished 8-2 on my reps. Sunday we had our Trench King Tournament. My team ended up third out of eight teams and I finished 12-4 for the tournament. I learned a lot from at this camp from drills I've never done before and competition that was top notch. I brought home so much that will make my game better this season. Great experience.

After that we split into positional drill where the focus was on proper position for double team blocks, quick first step then punch and alternating punch pass blocking drills. In addition we worked on shuffle steps to cover and block three DLs from different angles. After that it was 1 on 1 which went well. Great competition and great coaching.

Training

  • Squats, Cleans and Bench along with additional strength, agility and cardiovascular training
  • 3 years
  • My school's football training program started already with our strength goals testing that we do in January and again in May. The test consists of three lifts, bench, squats and power cleans and each has a weight goal to shoot for with an overall goal for each level. Each level comes with a different colored shirt that you get to wear during spring and summer practice. I have already earned my Cardinal color shirt which is the first of three levels. My goal is to earn my Black shirt by May which is level three, 1000lbs total, which I'm on track to get it without a problem.
