Cal State Rising All Star Game, Dec. 23, 2011
I am a late bloomer. I have grown 2” since March when I was at the Under Armour combine in Los Angeles. I posted the 11th fastest L Cone time for all athletes at the camp. I am now 6’4.5” and weigh 205. I wear size 15 shoes and feel I might still grow some.
I sprained my MCL and ACL one week before the season started. I started getting my speed and strength back by our 7th game. This film only covers games 2-5. (It should be posted by Oct. 29, 2011). I missed our first game. Game 2 was after a bye week. It was my first ever start. I had 389 yards passing.
After focusing on baseball (shortstop and pitcher) most of my life, football became my passion during my sophomore year when I played J.V. We had great success. During my junior year, I played very little, thus I’m not on anyone’s radar. The sr. qb in front of me was a phenomenal athlete and has already begun
his pro baseball career in the Braves organization. I play in a very competitive league. The same league QB Jeff Tuel from Washington State played in. He, like me, didn't play QB until his senior year. I have worked,
and will continue to work awfully hard with a great personal trainer. My trainer works with several NFL guys and a lot of DI football players.
I have received a lot of great tutelage from Tom Martinez (Tom Brady's coach) and Bob Johnson (Mission Viejo High School). Playing DI is my biggest dream. People say I have the tools. I know I have the work ethic. I also think I have the intangibles. I'm pretty calm by nature, and I think that transcends onto the field. People comment on my poise, leadership, and focus in the pocket, and how I see things easily and am not easily rattled. I am a good student that works hard in the classroom. I carry a 3.3 GPA. Ultimately, I hope
to become a football coach after hopefully, a successful pro career. I know I can make it. No one will outwork me.
I’ve made the decision to not play baseball this spring. Our team won a mythical national championship last
year. I had a 1.47 ERA. I’m going to dedicate myself to football. This spring, and throughout the year, I'll be training with the sprinters on our state ranked track team. I’m ultra competitive and WILL eventually reach my goals.
