Personal Statement
I love the game of football. I have always loved the game of football since I started playing at 10 years old. As a 13 year old I helped my Bear River Junior Bruin football team make and win the championship for division three. To finish my final season in junior football I was given the opportunity to participate in an East-West Shrine Bowl and traveled to Florida to play even more. This led into my Freshman year in high school where I started for my JV team, but our team underperformed and we only won 4 games. This gave me motivation to go into my Sophomore season where I started again at JV and we missed winning the championship by one game. Following our final loss I was called up to varsity and started on PAT and was the 2nd string center getting into every game multiple times.
Outside of my own career I have dedicated countless hours to coaching football for kids younger than me. I have coached for two years and the team I helped coach made the playoffs both years. I think of myself as a natural leader for younger kids and peers alike as well as a hard worker. I believe that my understanding of the game, my work ethic and my scholastic abilities put me ahead of many other student-athletes.
