I am a Cooper from Cooperstown. My 5 great grandfather founded the village there. My 4 great grandfather wrote Last of the Mohicans there. And my family has been there ever since.
Having a family from Cooperstown has given me the opportunity to visit the Hall of Fame every summer. These visits have taught me to love and respect baseball, and what it means to America. But the Coopers have always been farmers and writers and professors. No Coopers ever played baseball - until me!
I love everything about baseball. I love the practice, the workouts, the games, the chatter, the brotherhood, and the teamwork.
More than anyone else, I spend time at the field practicing, but it doesn’t feel like work. It never has because it’s my favorite thing in the world.
My goal is to never stop playing the game.
