Most of my early years in football entailed playing multiple positions each year, and often times each game, on both offense and defense never focusing on one specific position. Some people might see this as a bad thing . . . an obstacle in the road. However, I looked at it as an opportunity. I got to truly understand the game early on in a way most kids don’t get a chance to and was able to learn every position and how they interacted with and were influenced by the other positions on both sides of the ball.
This helped me immensely by the time I got to high school settling in as a RB as I was able to leverage all of that prior experience and coaching to my advantage while at the same time knowing it would make me a much more versatile player both in high school but more importantly for any program I am fortunate enough to play for in college.
Academically, I look forward to going to class every day to learn and grow as a person. It was ingrained in me early on that school comes first and my ability to be both an excellent scholar and athlete is something I take great pride in. While my goal is to study either business, engineering or sports management in college, my dream is to someday be a GM of a sports franchise, preferably an NFL team.
