When I think of what makes me a as a person i think of the collective experiences i’ve gone through and how it shaped my viewpoints and morals. With those viewpoints and morals I examine my person and how I took on different situations and obstacles in my life. Whether it’s my childhood where I grew up in a biracial household or it’s my education where I went to a catholic school ever since I was 4 years old or my time spent on the football field, these experiences influenced me to become a person of strong character and unique personality.
As long as i can remember i’ve been in love with the game of football. I remember waking up every Sunday and having my youth football games in the fall and then going home to watch the NFL games. The sport has taught me so much ever since I began to play at age seven. Playing this sport I learned how to have a proper work ethic and I also learned how competitive life is. Not just in terms of being competitive to win a game or competitive to earn a starting spot, but to be competitive with yourself to become a better person and player every day. The sport has taught me so much in terms of preparing for challenges life presents every day.
In terms of goals academically i plan to get my college degree which will expand my opportunities throughout the rest of my life. Although I’m not entirely sure on what i’d like to major I’m most likely going to major in mechanical engineering, business, or real estate and potentially a minor in sports medicine or marketing.
I’ve had to overcome and deal with the major situation of Covid-19 which greatly affected my high school career of football causing me to lose my junior season. Through dealing with that it taught me the important lesson that life isn’t always fair and sometimes you’ll have problems that are completely out of your control.
I bring my unique experiences in life and my logical on the fly thinking to the table. Being independent and indifferent growing up as a middle child really separates myself from others and I plan to carry that individuality that separates myself from the rest of the crowd throughout the rest of high school, college and my life after college.
