My love of football started with a local youth league at age five. As I progressed from flag to tackle to high school ball, my respect and devotion to the sport only grew. Living in a small town in the northwest corner of Connecticut makes it difficult to get recruited but my goal of playing college football is shared by all the people who have been telling me that after high school my football career will continue. I have been working my hardest to make sure that will happen. When I was a freshman I played ball-man on kickoff and right guard on punt for my high school’s varsity team. I was the only freshman in four years to receive their varsity letter. My coach told me that I had received my varsity recognition because I was the hardest working player on the field. Sophomore year I started varsity middle line backer and led the team in tackles with 89 tackles. My life motto has been the same since I was six and it is “Pain is temporary…quitting is forever.” My junior season was starting inside linebacker, fullback, on punt, on kick- off, on kick return and on extra point teams. I gained a total of 56 tackles 8 sacks and 16 tackles for loss. I also had 3 forced fumbles and 2 recoveries. As fullback I had 439 yards for rushing at 5.5 yards per carry and 22 receiving yards. I was eighth in the state for fullbacks. I was named First Team All Conference linebacker and Defensive MVP for my team. As a senior in 2016 I was named Captain of our team as well as Captain of Defense. Our team record was 8-2 and we won the Pequot West Conference and for the 2nd year in a row was named team MVP for defense and All Conference Linebacker . As defensive captain I am proud of only allowing 134 points scored against us this season and for a third straight season led the team with 85 tackles. After high-school I would love to be able to attend a college or university and receive the chance to play on their football team no matter what state the college is in. I would also like to earn a degree from a four year college so I could go into the sports-science field. If I am accepted into a college to play football I will work as hard as I possibly can to make my team and myself the best we can be.
