Calleigh Franklin '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Calleigh Franklin and I am a junior at Northwestern Regional High School in Winsted, Connecticut. As I begin to consider my options for college, I am looking for a school that will challenge me in all areas - academically, socially, and athletically.  I am excited about the opportunity to play college basketball and am committed to continuing to develop my skills throughout the rest of my high school career and beyond.

As a team player, I am willing to play any role necessary to support the team's goals, and I take pride in being a supportive and reliable teammate. I understand that success on the court is not just about individual performance, but also about working together towards a common goal.  In addition to personal success on the court, I also enjoy celebrating other’s success…such as my high school coach’s 705th win (all-time leader in CT high school girl’s basketball history) and my teammates 1,000th point.  

I think that the one thing that sets me apart from some other recruits is that I am a bit of a late bloomer on the basketball court. After working hard to improve this past offseason, I am just beginning to be recognized within my league and the surrounding area, and I am motivated to continue to improve my standing over the next few years. I am confident that my dedication and hard work will pay off, and I am excited to see what the future holds.

I am looking for a college that will provide me with a well-rounded experience, and I am committed to making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.  I have enjoyed visiting colleges and taking campus tours…especially visiting the athletic centers and stepping onto the court! I am excited about the opportunity to join a team that is committed to working hard together and I am confident that I can help to achieve our team goals.
