I visualize that during my time in college, I will grow academically, emotionally, and socially in the way that my parents have dreamed. They have sacrificed so much for me and I want to make them proud. I hope to major in the area of sport science to learn more about my body and how it operates during physical activity.
Athletically, sports have always played an important role in my life. Ever since I played tackle football at the age of 8 for the first time, football has been part of my routine. After catching my first touchdown pass, I realized that I could be really gifted in football. My excitement for the game still is just as strong today as it was when I was 8.
Football also has taught me a lot about myself. I realize through playing the game of football that having confidence and a right attitude can lead me to having a successful life in the future. As I learn more about the game and mature as a person, I feel like I am gaining more confidence in myself and my skills. I understand that my attitude is important to my success. My positive attitude helps me to be able to create and sustain strong relationships with my coaches and my teammates. As a player and teammate, I possess a competitive spirit, determination, hard-work ethic, and I’m coachable. Individual success matters to me but what is most important to me is that the team is successful.
