Personal Statement
Hello my name is Malcolm Moultrie. I am a Senior out of Pensacola, FL. I have attended private school for the past two years and I am now enrolled in public school again at Booker T. Washington High School. I have always wanted to play college sports since I was in elementary school. I began playing basketball when I was four years old in city and AAU leagues. During that time, I excelled at playing a center and power forward. I thought at that time that I would play college basketball but I was always told that I should play football because of my physical build and agility. I made the decision to play football my junior year. I have worked really hard during the off season to hone my skills. I began by working with a position coach. I have also signed up for numerous exposure camps. One of those camps was VTO and as a result of hard work I earned a spot at the VTO All-American Challenge being held in North Carolina. This season I was named an All-Star athlete and participated in the Pensacola Sports All Star Game. I was also named 1st team all defensive selection team. I have always believed in working hard whether it is in athletics or academics. I also believe you should never quit anything you start as commitment is key to success. I am thankful to have loving parents who have encouraged me to be my best in every situation and their support has always helped to push me further in any goals I have set. I am fully committed to being a student athlete while playing a sport I have come to love-football. If given the opportunity, I will work hard and stay focused on being the best person, student, and athlete I can be.
