Vince Lombardi once said, "The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary." This quote embodies a principle that guides me daily, fueling my dedication to academics, athletics, and my job responsibilities. This past summer, I embraced the challenge of balancing 30 hours a week of football practice with full-time employment at Wendy's. Managing these commitments pushed me to optimize my time effectively and tested my physical and mental limits.

Overcoming a labral tear in my right shoulder stands as one of the toughest obstacles I've faced. After surgery and months of rigorous physical therapy, I was determined to return to the game stronger than ever. This journey taught me resilience and reinforced the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity.

Beyond football, I am deeply committed to giving back to my community. My family and I volunteer at our church and with the Salvation Army in Jacksonville, FL, assisting in feeding the homeless. We also participate annually in the American Heart Association Heart Walk to raise awareness for heart health. These experiences have instilled in me a profound sense of leadership and responsibility, qualities I strive to embody in all facets of my life.

While my current GPA is 2.5, I view it as a reflection of my ability to balance rigorous commitments to sports, academics, work, and recovery from my injury. I have not failed any classes and am dedicated to improving my academic performance, just as I continually work on enhancing my athletic abilities. Looking ahead, I am confident that my strong work ethic, resilience, and leadership skills will enable me to contribute positively both on the field and in the classroom. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to be a valuable addition to a college community.
