I would describe myself as a person with ambition, drive, and determination. I would love to play football on the collegiate level, and I feel that I am taking the necessary steps to make it to the next level. Not only have I excelled in the game of football, I have also excelled in the classroom and as a member of the varsity track team. I would like to attend a college that would not only allow me to play football, but also provide a meaningful education for my days beyond football. I have maintained a 3.94 GPA while taking honors, accelerated, and AP courses.
What makes me a good candidate for a college team is the versatility that I possess as a student and a football player. While my natural position has been at running back, I have a starting role on our varsity football team in the slot position. I also serve as the deep man on our kick return team. As a freshman, I played running back, slot, kick return, kick off, and corner back. Upon completion of my freshman season, I was asked to join our varsity team through the completion of their season. I am willing to put in the work to be the best player that I can be and help the team be successful.
What separates me from other athletes looking for the same opportunities on the next level, is my character, athletics, and academics. I take leadership roles in my school as a peer tutor (math), serving on the Lanier Student Leadership Team, and have recently been selected to serve on the Gwinnett County Student Leadership Team (county wide leadership team). I am a member of the Beta Club, and was recently inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society as well as the National Honor Society. I have excelled in varsity football (Gwinnett Daily Post Offensive Player of the Week and Player of the Month - Gwinnett Touchdown Club), and competed on the varsity track team for a second year. I helped our varsity track team win our first region championship as a freshman, as well as our second region championship as a sophomore.
To sum this all up, I will do what it takes to position myself to play football on the next level while achieving a college degree at the same time. I am willing to work hard to prove my abilities to any college willing to give me the opportunity to prove myself.
