I have been around sports my whole life. They have always been fun for me, and as a younger brother, I have always been competitive. I have tried many sports, but my focus has been high level ECNL soccer, and as I got older, football. My interest in football started on the playground in elementary school and has grown since. During COVID, my middle school did not have a team, so I continued to play high level, competitive soccer and delayed my entry into football. Once in high school, I began playing JV football, really my first time in pads and after my sophomore year in high school, I made the decision to hang up my soccer cleats to focus on football. It was a difficult decision to leave soccer after 4 straight appearances at ECNL nationals and opportunities to compete in Italy and Germany, but my heart was in football.
My biggest challenge has been my later start to football and that I was a 3 sport athlete until my junior year. The skills that I bring from soccer and that set me apart are my good footwork and my quickness. I react quickly on the field, I can be shifty with the ball, and I am a physical player. As a later arrival to football, I have had to set and meet goals to raise my level of play and improve my skills quickly. I am a quick study, willing to put in the work and learn, and I am very versatile and adaptable.
I find joy and an outlet in football and I look forward to playing it at the next level. There is a lot to learn and always room for improvement. I love being part of a team and I love to be in a winning environment. I am an extremely loyal person and teammate and I keep my inner circle of friends close. I surround myself with people of integrity and I would go to the mat for them. I look forward to playing for a team that appreciates what I bring to the table, will help me become better, and in a program where I can make an impact.
