Kaenen Akau '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Kaenen Akau, or you can call me "Aukai". I am a senior at Kamehameha Schools Hawai'i. I stand at 6 feet, weigh 165 pounds and have 4.4 speed. I have been on the varsity team for 4 years and have started 3 of those 4 years. We were able to finsh 2nd in our confrence my first 2 years, and we were the confrence champs my third. Although finishing in 2nd for my senior year, we still had a good season. 

 I believe that i would be able to bring leadership, agility, hard working, dedication, and speed. With these characteristics i feel that i would be most comfortable in any school that would be able to fit my needs and help me with my education and athletics. Looking for a great education, i would like to major in exercise science due to the sports that i play i want to learn about the body and how they function when playing.

I was able to excel in track and field and have achieved honors in this sport. In my confrence i was able to win the 100m, long jump, and the 4x100 meter. In the 100m my best time was a 11.10 and in the long jum it was 22'9''. I have made it to states 3 years in a role starting with my frshmen year, and my junior i was able to do something i always dreamed of doing, which was to be a state champ. I was able to win the long jump with a jump of 22'1 1/2''.   
   
  2011-2012 Season
I was 1-1 passing with 1 passing touchdown. I had 72 yards on 4 carries and 2 rushing touchdowns. 35 receptions for 6oo yards with 7 touchdowns. 1 kick return for 97 yard touchdown. 3 punt returns for 56 yards.

Defense
At the end of the season i had 26 tackles as a DB 16 solo and 10 assist. I was able to have 10 pass break ups and 2 interceptions, returning 1 for 80 yards for a touchdown.
