Personal Statement
It may sound like the same cliché that college coaches have heard over and over again. “I have wanted to play college and pro football for as long as I can remember”. How many hours spent ,as a kid, throwing that game winning touchdown or game winning catch with no time left on the clock in your back yard? I'm proud to say I also have that same goal, dream and desire to have the opportunity, to play the game I love, at the collegiate level.
Even though I’m only a Freshman at Bishop Kelly High School, I have already experienced how to be a successful Student Athlete. Bishop Kelly has a history for high academic standards and great athletic tradition which is a perfect proven model for the successful student athlete. Being a 3 sport athlete (Football, Basketball and Track) while maintaining a 3.7G.P.A., I have learned how to balance school work, athletics, along with volunteering and giving back to my community.
Success doesn’t come easy and I have had to learn that to get better, one must be dedicated and focused. I have learned this, as early as 8 years old when I started my football and track training. This dedication has allowed me to compete and be successful at a very high level; state, regionally and nationally. I also believe this dedication can be contagious to your teammates and training partners. You will be more successful if you surround yourself by individuals with the same dedication, focus and goals.
