Ronald Castaldo '13 Recruiting Profile

My passion in life is definetly football. I also make sure that my academics and school work comes first. I've played football my whole life, it's what i live for. I'm a team player, i look out for other teammates and try and help them improve as much as i can. I am one of those players who will never miss a practice and I also like to put in as much extra work as i can, whether it be in the weight room or watching film. Freshman year, my team had a record of 8-1 and i was also called up to be a part of the varsity teams playoff run, where i got to help out on special teams. Sophomore year i played a complete season at the varsity level starting all 9 games at full back and also played some middle linebacker. I was awarded Acedemic All-Conference that season. Junior season is one of my most memorable seasons as a football player. I was voted a captain by my teammates in the beginning of the season. That was a huge honor for me considering I'm only a junior. I mainly played outside linebacker and also played H-back on offense. We had a rough 1-4 start to the season but finished off the season with a strong 4-0 record. Unfortuanately my team fell 1 point short of making the playoffs. We ended up third in conference. After my junior season I was awarded First Team All- Conference Linebacker and Academic All Conference. Also i recieved All-Area Hon. Mention. I also recieved the IHSA Scholastic Achievement Award. I was voted by my team "Most Versatile Junior", "Most Respected Junior", and "Biggest Hitter". It has always been my dream to play college football. I'm open to any school that would take the time to look at me. It would be a dream come true.
