John Steinhofer '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Steinhofer.  I am a 6'4" 280lb, 16 year old Junior, Class of 2025, currently playing Center and Long Snapper for Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis, IN.  Franklin Central is a 6A school and competes in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference which is considered one of the more competitive high school conferences in Indiana.  During my Junior season, I started out playing Left Offensive Tackle and then, due to snapping issues, the team needed me to move to Center which is my more natural position.  I am a versatile player and can play all positions on the offensive line (and on defense).  I am very coachable and pick up plays quickly making me adaptable to any situation needed to play a position.  As for long snapping, I have been participating in the Kohl’s Kicking, Punting and Snapping program.  My snapping speed for punts is between .70 -.75.  Also, off the field, I currently maintain a 3.8 GPA.  I wrestled my freshman and sophomore year in high school as well to help with my agility and speed.

I have a very strong interest in playing football at the next level.  Any football program would find me a very strong addition to the competitiveness of your team.  You will find that I believe in maximum effort on and off the field.  From a football standpoint, during the season and in the off season you never stop building yourself into an unstoppable machine in order to crush your opponent.  There is no off season when you're committed to a team.  I hope to be able to play for a team with this unstoppable mentality.

From an academic standpoint, it is important for me to attend a school with an Engineering program, which is my intention to study.  Note that my academic performance nor my conduct will ever be a problem for the team I play for.

I believe that when you commit to something you see it through and give full effort.  My parents are in support of me playing college football as long as my studies are kept up and I fully commit to the school I go to for the full duration.
