James O'Neal '12 Recruiting Profile

My full name is James Allen O'Neal. I am currently a sophomore at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. In 2012 I was the starting senior running back for the LaPorte Slicers Varsity Football team at LaPorte High School (5A) located in LaPorte, Indiana. At 5'10" and 175lbs I can also play as a defensive back and can run a 4.40 in the 40 yd dash. I was bestowed Honorable Mention honors for the 2011 La Porte Herald-Argus All-Area Football Team and the 2011 Michigan City News Dispatch All-Area Football Team. I was also a 3 yr. Varsity sprinter (55M, 100M, 200M, 4x100MR) for the school's Track and Field team. As a junior, I set the school record for the Indoor 55 meter dash at 6.8. My best time for the 100 meter dash is 11.2 and the 200 meter dash is 22.8. 

My education is very important to me and it is my aspiration to pursue degrees in Marketing and Sports Marketing/Management and then continue on to pursue a MBA/JD in graduate school. I am sincerely committed to reach my full potential as a student-athlete and be able to make a lasting contribution to a school, it's team and its surrounding communities. I feel that by attending your school and being a part of your football program will help me reach that goal. I know that I can make a great addition to any school and team as a student-athlete. I am a hard worker. I go as hard as I can on every drill in practice, every play in the game and every sprint in a meet. Although I am not a top prospect, I can guarantee you that I have the heart, the mind and the drive to be one of your top and most productive athletes.
