Personal Statement

I've been blessed to live in Georgia, the United Kingdom, Italy, and South Korea. This has allowed me to experience things that most of my peers have only read about in books or seen on television. My family's connection to the United States military has been a blessing and provided me with opportunities to see the world and experience other cultures. I've traveled throughout Europe and Asia and played football, wrestled, and baseball at the varisty level. I was part of the 2014 European Champion Wrestling team at Vicenza High School, during my freshman year. I finished 7th at the 195lbs weight class in Europe. I've lettered in football, wrestling, and baseball in addition to earning an All European Academic award, school academic letters, and lettered in band. I served as Co-President of my freshmen class, Student Council, and was an active member of the Student2Student Club.

I've taken advanced courses and have the ability to complete my high school diploma in June 2016 (my junior year). I began taking classes at Troy University as a dual enrolled student in August 2015 and will take college courses during my junior and senior year of high school. I plan to study Engineering or Nursing and want to become a pilot in the U.S. military. I'm a 2nd Lt in my JROTC Battalion and would like to participate in ROTC during college.

My experiences growing up on military bases and participating in clubs, sports, and other volunteer activities have helped me understand the importance of teamwork. I've had the opportunity to serve in leadership capacities as a student and student-athlete. I enjoy the camaraderie with my teammates, especially on long bus rides across Europe. I try to live by the Army's Seven Core Values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage and believe these values will allow me to succeed in the future!
