I was attending a school in my district as an 8th grader and felt I was not challenged academically nor in sports or other extracurricular activities. I had heard about a school out of my district that offered challenging courses including many advanced placement classes and the schools’ football team had a phenomenal track record. I asked my parents if it would be possible for me to begin my high school career out of district if I promised to help pay for my tuition by working at a local grocery store. I now attend that school, play for the football team, and run track along with taking honors and AP classes. Additionally, I work at the local grocery store and I attend private football conditioning sessions outside of school practice. As a high school student, I am challenging myself to achieve in both academics and sports. My goals are to attend a division 1 or 2 university where I can pursue education in a major of my choosing and represent the school in various extracurricular activities including football and track. I believe in keeping a challenging and busy schedule now and understand that this will continue in college and beyond.
