I have set my personal goal to play football in college. I hope to play for a successful D1 or D2 program with a coaching staff that can teach me and lead me to being the best player possible. I believe I am a great candidate for a college team for many reasons. First of all I have a very strong drive to win. Having won the state junior wrestling championships four times, three of those being consecutive years. The year I didn't, I lost in triple overtime. Every year, I wrestled in the weight class above my weight. Also, I am not easily intimidated or concerned about who my opponent is on the football field or the wrestling mat. Be it bigger, stronger, or faster I look at it as an opportunity!
Secondly, I feel I am a natural leader who pushes my teammates but is also always there to help them or listen to their problems. My coaches have told me and my Dad that I am easily coachable and have a very strong work ethic. I believe in being honest with my team and myself, even if it is hard to hear. I am my own worst critic when it comes to my performance and work to improve on those shortcomings. One thing that sets me apart is I have my convictions and the courage to defend those to anyone. I know what I believe is right and wrong and will call you out if you are doing wrong.
