My name is John Hebert. I am a 6'3", 255lb All-District and All-State Athletic and versatile Offensive Line player. I have played across all positions of the OL, TE, and Sniffer. I am a Junior at University Laboratory High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. With my parents' support and great coaches along the way, I have had an enormous love for the game of football since the third grade. In addition, I am a three-sport athlete participating in Track and Field and Bowling.
During my sophomore year, through hard work and support from my coaching staff, I earned and was honored with the starting left tackle position on my Varsity team. Our team finished the 2021 year as Division 3A Undefeated State Champions and competed in the 2022 Semi Final game. Football wouldn't be the same without my teammates, and I was honored when they chose me for the leadership council for the Varsity team, which is a peer nomination. Through the guidance of my parents and the coaches and hard work, I have been recognized by Recruit Louisiana as a top Louisiana player in the class of 2025 and one of the Top 5 OL players in the state. Additionally, I was honored to receive First Team All-District OL and First Team All-State OL during my Sophomore year and First Team ALL-State, All-Metro, and All-District.
My parents guided me that the same dedication I have to football also should happen when I'm off the field. They have taught me the importance of the classroom, and with my teacher's support, I have recognized how to impact and attack my studies at the school. I currently have a 4.8 GPA and take AP and IB classes. I received my first college credit during my first year.
My mom and dad have taught me that I can do anything with a great work ethic, resilience, and grit. I am highly coachable and love the game of football. With the excellent coaching staff at University Lab, I have quickly learned how to thrive in the weight room and impact my skill set. I intend to use what my coaching staff has taught me and bring that work ethic to camps to become a more robust, faster, and better player.
My parents have shown me the importance of living through faith and becoming someone with a high moral character. I'm proud to be a part of FCA and the Beta Club. My parents and I are excited to see what the future holds, and we look forward to meeting you to discuss how we will be successful together. I am excited to find a program where I can contribute and grow daily, both on the field and in the classroom.
I appreciate your consideration.
John
