Personal Statement

My name is Thomas Garland and I am currently a sophomore (grade 10) at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA.  I'm the type of player that will work hard and allow my actions- both on and off the field- speak to my character and dedication.  In addition to playing football, I am an honor roll student.  I run track and play lacrosse as well.  Per the MIAA, I am nationally ranked as the 72nd fastest high school runner for the 2017-2018 school year.

They say that football is a game of inches.  It is those inches that make me work every day toward being better, stronger and faster.  I can't allow myself to be complacent and accept what I do today as being good enough for tomorrow. I love the game of football and hope to have the opportunity to play in college.
