I come from a family of six and we were all brought up with the basic philosophy that my father drilled into our heads. He said to put life priorities in this order: 1) God 2) family 3) Academics and then 4) your passions. I believe that this philosophy along with a smile and positivity will take me far in life. I have always aligned my passion for playing football with all three-- God, my family, and academics. I believe that God is with us where ever we go, my teammates are a part of my family, and education and playing football go together, hand-to-hand. I will always be a student first, and then an athlete. I would say that I strive to do well in school, and this is why I took all AP classes as a student-athlete in high school and maintained a 3.9 average. I can see myself finding a future in the field of engineering or other areas of mathematics while playing football. I will carry my family's philosophy with me, through my collegiate experience on and off the field, and for the rest of my life. As simple as it is, I truly believe that this belief will help create good habits and stay focused. I am committed, disciplined, smart, and coachable enough to do whatever I need to do to succeed as a student-athlete. I believe that my leadership and all of this set me aside from other athletes.
