Personal Statement
Unlike many prospects that colleges typically look at, I care about football AND education. I have received academic all-state honors twice my freshman year. I have earned straight A's for both of my freshman semesters, and I worked long and hard to earn those grades. As a sophomore, I made the starting varsity team at my school during the beginning of the season, but fractured my fibula two days before our first game, putting me out for the season. Since then I have done vigorous rehabilitation to make the leg just as strong as the other. I work harder than almost any athlete most colleges will look at. I have an immense urge to be the best player on the field at all times. When I face other good athletes during games, I will immediately develop a plan to become better than them. As a person with a strong work ethic, I try to push my team to take after some of my workout habits. I work very hard to master my position, but one man cannot win a championship, and winning championships is always number one priority. That being said, I urge my team to follow my example. Working as hard as I possibly can, day after day, week after week, all season long. I believe that a strong team connection, great work ethic, and a desire to play football and win games is the ultimate recipe for success and I am willing to bring those to the table.
