Although taking a three year hiatus from playing the game after already playing for six years, I realized how much I appreciated the game and how much I truly loved the game of football after playing my first year of high school football my sophomore year. Although the first season back wasn't spectacular as we went 1-7, I knew that the relationships with my teammates was more important and made me realize how much more important teamwork is. Ever since, however, I work harder and harder every day to work towards being the best player I possibly can.
Although I've never been a part of a winning team, I've always appreciated the teamwork and the effort I put in every single practice and game. Not being on a winning team has led me to learn how to be a leader in the locker room and on the field, and it has taught me how to motivate my teammates, no matter how great of a deficit our team is up against. I've always wanted to be a part of a program that will not only help me grow as a player, but also help me grow academically. I've always worked to make my game better each week with school being a big focus still. I believe that my work-ethic, initiative, and competition can be a great addition to a program.
