Personal Statement
I am different from most recruits because since I was 9 years old I have been raised in a single parent household. We had to move away because my father was abusive to my siblings and my mother as well as myself and kicked us out. Around the age of 13 I joined a youth ministey group called "Walking Tall" which was older Christian men teaching young men about respect, how to care about others, and finding kindness. Walking Tall showed me that I can do anything I my put my heart and mind too and no matter what our situation was I had the mental and physical ability to move forward. I always helped out and volunteered when they needed help and it taught me to always give out of the kindness of your heart. With this I have learned many skills, along with many lessons. These skills and lessons have helped mold and shape me as the young man I am today. I take pride in my work ethic and my support towards others. I have always supported and pushed my teammates even if they didn't want it and give them the encouragement to give 110%. I consider myself a leader because younger players looked up to me and feel comfortable asking me for help. I have taken my younger brother under my wing, he trains with me for wrestling. I have encouraged him to continue with Pop Warner football, how to be an example for others, respect and to be aggressive. Wrestling has taught me, that you can be friends off the mat but once you are ready to on it, you have to overcome your opponent mentally and physically. The same thing applies in the football field, once you put your helmet on, it's time to battle. I am a loving brother and I love my family and friends and I have been working since I turned 15 so I could help my mother with our financial struggles and I continue to work to this day and continue to train each day. I work hard every day on and off the field, in class I work to get at least B's or above I also lift at least 7 times a week usually a few workouts In a day in order to prepare myself physically and mentally for anything that can happen in the field. My goal in football in the weight room is to be one of the stronger guys on the team and in order for me to reach my goal I must work relentlessly and vigorously. I also want to work my way towards starting and I know it's not something everyone does so I know I need to be working harder than everyone else.
