I can't imagine NOT playing in college. I started playing at the youth level and haven't stopped. It became my passion, my focus- my reason. To continue playing at the collegiate level is a dream of mine. My senior season ended with a playoff loss. It was devastating, taking off my shoulders pads for the last time in my high school career was difficult.
Leadership on and off the football field is a given. I was a member of the leadership committee for my varsity football team. I will continue to be a leader and do whatever I can, even though my high school days of playing are over. I volunteered at the youth football turkey bowl, those little kids look up to me. They were on the sidelines at the games or in the bleachers wanting high fives. I remember being that kid.
I never played the game of football for individual accolades. My focus was always team oriented.
Being a honor roll student, an all conference football player, volunteering at the youth level shows my dedication and commitment. I want to play football and be successful in my studies.
