Hello,
Making the playoffs in both football and baseball along with competing in area meets for track (4X4 relay) are high school memories that will stick with me. Also group activities and leadership development opportunities at my church no doubt helped shape me into a strong yet humble and grateful person. However, it was in travel baseball that I learned to play in the zone, and I use that same mindset to make touchdowns, home runs, and win races.
The wins and losses taught me about life and how to battle through setbacks. I’ve learned that I have an innate ability to give 100%, multitask, and exhibit perseverance during challenges. Last football season, we lost our starting quarterback one day before our football season opener. It was a big setback, but through teamwork we rallied and made it to 2nd round playoffs. I like to win but understand the lessons that come with losses. I’m guided by strong values, trust in family and my faith. I’m influenced by my parents and family members like my cousin Cam Ward, whom I grew up looking up to, watched play high school football and now college. Just like my cousin I believe I have the talent, commitment and leadership to make a difference at the next level. I’m looking for a program that would complement my athletic talents, align with my academic goals and is a nurturing environment for my growth. I know I’ll be an asset to your team!
