Hello, I am Chance E. Horton from Blanco, Texas. Home of the Blanco Panther football team, which I am very proud and honored to have played 4 years on the Varsity team after being moved up my freshman year. As far back as I can remember, I have loved and waited for football each year to start, and this year was no different except that it would be my last year at Blanco. I visited and attended many campuses and camps this last summer that were awesome and enlightening on so many levels. I learned so much and I really found the coaching staff to be incredible and passionate in what they were doing. That passion is what I feel whether practicing or playing football. I am an impact player despite my height shortcomings. As a 5'10" offensive lineman, center to be exact, I have exceeded all expectations that my coaches have asked of me. As a DT, I am honored when facing opponents when they double and triple team me, as it enables my team mates to make the plays. At these times when I am double and triple teamed, I am usually not making the highlight reel, but my team is doing some serious winning. As a center, and leader of the offensive line, I love watching and adjusting to the defensive scheme presented to us and thoroughly enjoy discussing changes with my coaches. I have been blessed with the greatest coaching staff here at Blanco, and they are truly a major part of the success of this Panther team. I am looking for a school that I can have an impact from day one, with my leadership, attention to my coaches, solid practices, and whatever the program needs me to do as well as a awesome strength and conditioning program. My quickness, strength, football knowledge, and passion will be at the disposal of my coaches. I was honored to be named as 1st Team All-district OL and 1st Team All-district DL. I have also been honored with an invite to the Blue-Gray All American Bowl in Houston, Texas this January 14, 2019 where I will be playing DT for my team. My plans are to exceed and succeed in my collage athletic program and become a High School or, hopefully, Collage Football Coach after collage.
