I am a very hard worker, when I figure out what I want to do I do it. There are a lot of things that have influenced me to be this way. But let's start with the most important one, my parents. They have always influenced me with the saying “you can do anything if you put your mind to it.” I have followed this for my whole life and have realized that if I put my mind to golf I can be great at it. Which is exactly what I have done. Everyday I put my mind onto golf and don't stop until I feel that I am good enough. But you might be wondering why I became interested in golf in the first place. My whole family has always loved the sport of golf, especially my dad. He tried to persuade me into the sport for many years but I never wanted to do it. But finally around 4 years ago I agreed and started to figure out how great of a sport golf really is. Golf is not only a fun sport to play but it also teaches you many life lessons. Such as hard work pays off, don't ruminate on your failures, just as Tiger Woods told his son “you have 10 steps to be mad then the next shot is more important than breathing”. I have overcome many obstacles during my journey playing golf. One of those has been more recently, last year when me and my team were playing our regional tournament. UIL had changed our region, which meant that we had to play against many 6A schools that we had never played against before as we are only a 3A school. But after the 1st day we only had to get down 10 strokes as a team to make it to state. I knew that I needed to step up as a team player. So the next day I went out ready to play the best round of my life so far. At that point my low was a 92. I was playing the best round of my life and at the end I ended up getting down 10 strokes from my best and ended up shooting an 82 that day. But with that and the rest of my teammates stepping up to help take us to state, we didn't make it. It was a sad loss for all of us but taught us a valuable lesson, when you fail you get up and try again.
