I have been playing golf since I was 10 years old. It started out as having something to do with my family, but I ended up falling in love with the game. From my first golf tournament, I knew that I wanted to play college golf. The feeling I get before, during, and after a tournament is unmatched, and I love every minute of it. I know that playing college golf is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will further my goals in golf, education, and in my career. The opportunity will be life-changing, and I'm doing everything in my power to make my dream a reality.
My lowest recorded tournament score is currently a 71. I was the district champion and a regional qualifier last year. Seven out of ten rounds this season were in the seventies. I have a strong mental game that keeps me focused and driven on the golf course. I spend a lot of time on tournament preparation and work on all aspects of the game. I am a power hitter with a great touch around the greens.
I work hard year-round on my golf skills, participating in golf associations, such as STPGA and WTJCT. I played high school varsity golf in both my freshman and sophomore year in high school, and was named player of the year for golf at my high school sophomore year.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a 3.6 (and climbing) GPA, and I always make sure to stay focused and turn in my assignments on time.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the golf course. I am open to all options and ultimately want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I strive to be a great role model to all of my peers, in my community, and to make my parents proud. It is going to be great, and I am excited for the challenge!
