2018 Highlights
August 2017I’ve always considered myself an athlete and an outdoorsman. Whether it’s sports, bow hunting, ranch management or Crossfit, I value the challenges in my life. The life lessons and perseverance I have gained are priceless and continue to bless my life. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to be well rounded.
Playing a variety of sports have helped me overcome many obstacles and definitely strengthened my character. I am proud to continue to be a two sport Varsity athlete for my school, in football and track. The experiences have made me decide what I would like to pursue and grow in, to become a college athlete for Track and Field. I am fortunate to have started formal pole vault club training in January of 2017 and enjoy the extra work and experience from summer club competition season as well. I have set new school records in pole vault and relays. I had a great Freshman and Sophomore season with the Blanco Varsity Track Team and placed 6th at the Texas UIL 3A Region 4 Championship. I helped our team become Area Champions and was awarded 1st Team All District in football. I contribute my seven years of Crossfit competing, training and sports, of instilling mental toughness and confidence that I will need for anything that will be thrown my way. I am ready for the challenges my dream will bring.
I have the grit and determination needed to continue to grow into a successful college athlete for your program. I am “coachable”. This has contributed to my success and I believe, will be a big factor for my future. Working hard in the classroom will continue to be a priority for me. I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to show the heart and talent that I have, through leadership, work ethic and sacrifice.
