Personal Statement

I started playing football at the age of 3. Back then it was a just a sport that I enjoyed playing for the fun and competition but through the years it has become more. As I began tackle football and transitioned to a “select” team my interest for the game grew. Football was beginning to become more than just a hobby. It was always on my mind and I was striving to become better at it each and every day. My dad knew that my interest for the game was growing just like his did before he began to play at the collegiate level at Oklahoma University. He started by putting me with specialized coaches to further my skill set on the field. I continue to train every week with my quarterback and speed coach to improve my technique along with my school’s strength and conditioning program in the offseason.

Off the field my expectations are at the same high level as on the field. I work hard in the classroom in all advanced placement classes and have always maintained an “A”. I am not only an “A” student but I am in the GT (Gifted and Talented Program) at my school, which allows me to be tested as a student and opens many other opportunities. I am also a member of the Duke TIP (Talent Identification Program), which has allowed me to take the SAT test in 7th grade, and my score placed me in the top 1% of 7th grade GT students across the country.

My dedication to Football and Academics has reflected my work ethic and determination to become the best I can be. I will do whatever it takes to play football at the next level and become the best student-athlete I can possibly be.
