Personal Statement

My name is Antwan Johnson. I have been playing football since I could find a helmet small enough that it would fit on my head. Around my fifth grade year that’s when I started playing quarterback. Hard work and dedication since then has brought me a long way in my walk with the sport of football. I believe that football is the best sport in the world and I commit all my free time to getting better. Also academicly I’m a hard worker, I do my best to ensure that I make A/B grades; however, that isn’t always the case the grades I get I can honestly say I worked my best for. Now athletically that’s a whole different story. Right after the winter so around February I start working. I go outside with my little brother in a hoodie and a balaclava and throw the ball to him till I’ve completed 100 passes at different yard increments, then I go inside warm up and repeat all day long. When it warms up, I play 7 on 7 with my school to get a feel and get back into the grind of how things work. I use this time to not only evaluate my receivers I evaluate myself. Any college I end up going to to play football I feel I will be a great fit not only in the school but on the field. I’m a hard worker and a leader on the field, and I’m a “social butterfly” in the school. Finally I will continue to work hard and be committed to not only the football program but the school on the academic side of “student athlete”! Student comes first in that.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
