I consider my greatest strength to be the fact that I am well-rounded. Due to various circumstances, I have spent every year since 6th grade in a different school. Although this posed many challenges in my life, it enabled my talents to develop in a unique way. The constant change has had its drawbacks, such as lack of academic consistency, but overall it has taught me what it takes to be successful no matter where I am, what I am doing, or what people are around me.
I did not start playing football until the 10th grade, but quickly discovered two things: a strong passion for the game and talents I did not know I had. My coaches have complimented me on how quickly I improved and attributed this to my work ethic, strength, listening skills, and my eagerness to be the best I can be. I may not have a lot of experience on the field, but I am smart, willing, and coachable. I feel that this makes me an ideal collegiate athlete.
I have yet to decide on the career I wish to prepare for, however I value learning and know that college will play an essential role in finding my path. I am aware of the effort required to play football while keeping up with the demands of college academics but know I will rise to the occasion and thrive in this challenging environment. Playing football in college would be a great opportunity for me and I am eager and willing to do whatever it takes to make that opportunity a reality.
