Before I entered high school, I had one goal in mind as my next stepping stone in my football career. Having played since I was very young, I wanted to compete at the Varsity level in my freshman year of high school. That off-season I took no shortcuts and as always had a great attitude leading into the season. My coaches refer to me as a “workhorse”. This mindset transferred both onto the field and into the classroom. My freshman year (2016) I made the Varsity team and had a great time playing, despite the adversity of team injuries. This year (2017), my sophomore year, I am starting TE for my high school football team. I am a conscientious student making straight A’s. I also enjoy competing on our high school’s basketball team and work year-round preparing myself both physically and mentally for the next football season.
I believe college isn’t about the next 4 years, it is about the next 40 years. The feedback I most often receive from my teachers and coaches is that I am a student who displays a good attitude, team work and commitment. I have a very strong work ethic and I enjoy being part of my school, team, and local community. I want to find a college where I can play football and contribute to the success of the team and but also where I can achieve my academic goals for my future.
