My goals are to compete against the best defensive players in the nation and to contribute to the success of a high level football program. I have played football since elementary and I have also wrestled since I was six years old. I will continue to grow and improve both physically and fundamentally throughout my college career. I am rarely overpowered and I have not given up a sack in two years. I have made my high school's honor roll the last two trimesters and I anticipate making the honor roll again this trimester. I volunteer with my church and I am an Explorer with the Benton County Sheriff's Office. Both of my parents are in law enforcement and I intend to follow in their footsteps upon the completion of my playing career.
I have high moral character and I am a leader on my team and in the hallways of my school. I place a high degree of importance on my integrity and my reputation. If I'm brought into your football program you will immediately have a new leader in the locker room that reflects positively on your program. I routinely outwork others in the weight room and in practice and I contribute that to my many years of competing in wrestling. I have a strong work ethic and I am not deterred by a challenge.
I distinguish myself over other similar players by bringing a positive attitude to the practice field. If given the chance to represent your program on the field, I will bring honor, integrity and toughness to your team and my conduct will reflect positively on your decision to bring me on board.
Respectfully,
Joshua Marks #66
