Personal Statement
Ever since I was young, I had the desire to play D1 college football. When I got into high school, I knew the road to become the best player and person I could be would be difficult, but it would also be worth all the time, effort, and challenges it takes to achieve these goals. After the Freshman football season concluded, I focused on improving my physical stature, endurance, speed, and quickness. I grew larger, stronger, faster, and more athletic, and most of these achievements were gained through listening to the advice and recommendations of my strength training coach. I receive constructive criticism well and can confirm that I am a much greater player and person than I was at the start of my freshman year.
I volunteer regularly by donating my time to church activities, serving meals to underprivileged, and assist my neighbors with yard work and snow removal. While it is important to me to improve individually, I am more concerned about helping my teammates achieve their goals as well as that which will benefit the team as a whole. More importantly, I value academics and have already taken two honors level courses and maintain an approximate 3.75 GPA and earned a 31 on the ACT.
My goal in college is to study physical therapy or medicine. Finally, during the summer, I also caddy at a local country club so that I can continue to understand the importance of balancing work with my daily work out schedule.
