Basketball has been a sport that I have loved most of my life. I played a lot until I started high school and then I got distracted. It wasn't that I was not interested in it any longer, just distracted. While I did not play my sophomore and junior years, it was this summer as I was getting ready to start my senior year that I wanted to start playing again. I knew I was behind my former teammates, but I have been determined to do what I can to get where I want to be. How does that make me different and how does that give any recruiter or coach confidence in me? I had my distractions already and now I know that I really want to play, and I want to play at the college level. I have committed myself and my time to the physical training required to be able to be on the court at the Varsity level as a senior. I have committed myself to the mental/intellectual training to make sure I keep my academics where they need to be so I am not worried about being ineligible to play if given the opportunity. My goal is to find an opportunity at a program where I can add value on and off the court, support my teammates and my coaches as either a starter or a bench player and to continue to sharpen my skills and learn as many life lessons this sport has to offer. My decision for the next year is to train and attend a post graduate prep program. This decision will give me another year to train and gain knowledge and experience in basketball. I will be ready for 2018 season!
Thank you in advance for your consideration!
